Cork, Ireland's second largest city is the place to visit if you're looking for great Irish treasures in architecture. Some of the best ones that I found here are the St. Mary's Cathedral, which was built in 1808; and the beautiful St. Finbarre's Cathedral, home to the striking Angel of the Resurrection statue. If you're visiting this side of Ireland, also don’t miss the Elizabeth Fort and the church tower of Shandon, two of the most notable landmarks of the city. I definitely had the best time exploring its Gregorian and Medieval buildings, and if you’re into these kinds of attractions as well, this is definitely the place to see!
